Foo Fighters Will Perform as the Holy Shits in London Tomorrow

Surprises are only really fun when they’re actually surprises, like when Thom Yorke pops his tufted head up at festivals at 3 a.m. to perform mini-DJ sets of all jazz music in the middle of a forest. The Foo Fighters might not have gotten that memo though, having just announced that they were the mysterious band called “the Holy Shits” set to play London’s House of Vans for free tomorrow night.

This is like Foxboro Hot Tubs all over again, except probably a lot better musically. If you missed the boat on the Sonic Highways band’s “secret” gig, too bad, because it’s already sold out. The Foos also recently announced plans to make good on their crowdfunded concert in Virginia later this month, and according to Consequence of Sound, they’ve announced that Highways will feature special guests “Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, The Eagles’ Joe Walsh, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band,” so all in all, September is not a terrible month to be a Foo Fighters fan.
