Foo Fighters Make ‘Something From Nothing’ With Their Intense New Single

Foo Fighter, Sonic Highways, New Song, Something From Nothing

Foo Fighters have released the first single off of their highly anticipated album, Sonic Highways. Debuted on BBC Radio 1, “Something from Nothing” maintains a slow-and-steady build to a blistering, combative finish. Fitting in with the theme of a country-spanning record, the track was recorded in Chicago with Steve Albini, who, of course, produced Nirvana’s third and final studio album, 1993’s In Utero. The Foos’ HBO show — an eight-episode mini-series that documents the making of their new LP — premieres Friday, October 17 at 11 p.m. EST, and the full Sonic Highways album comes out November 10. Dave Grohl and co. are also in the midst of a week-long residency on the Late Show with David Letterman, and they’ve got two nights (and at least two more special guests) left to go.
