Flying Lotus may be excited about the imminent release of new album You’re Dead, but it sounds like the producer still hasn’t quite gotten over being left off the dream team behind Kanye West’s Yeezus. In an interview with Newsweek Friday, FlyLo talked about You’re Dead and his desire to work with Yeezy, saying that he’s been trying to get the rapper to appear in one of his songs for a while now “I feel like, at this point, it’s been expressed enough,” he said. “He knows where I’m at.”

He went on to say that it “was kind of weird” that he wasn’t on Yeezus. “That’s my favorite one of his albums. I really wish I was part of it,” he said. “They didn’t even call.”

Flying Lotus may not have gotten Kanye, but You’re Dead, which comes out tomorrow, features Kendrick Lamar and Herbie Hancock, among others. You can read the full interview about the new album with Flying Lotus over at Newsweek.
