Fleet Foxes-Affiliated Collective Launches Lit Journal

Prepare your bookshelves: Fleet Foxes-affiliated Unified Field Collective has announced the inaugural edition of its Unified Field literary journal, which will be released September 18.

Arriving in a limited hand-numbered batch of 500 and available in select record stores and shops as well as online, the 60-page first issue, which carries the theme of “Transition,” includes a journey entry from recently liberated West Memphis 3 member Damien Echols, an excerpt from feminist icon Gloria Steinem’s upcoming new book, photos from noted rock photographer Autumn De Wilde, and a contribution from SPIN Editorial Director Charles Aaron, among others.

Fittingly, given its provenance, the journal will also come with a 10″ clear vinyl pressing of rare tracks from Robin Pecknold, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and Department of Eagles. Proceeds from sales of Unified Field will go to writing, publishing, and tutoring non-profit 826 National.
