For the past 10 years, SPIN’s annual March bash in Austin has happened at Stubb’s. But for most of those years, the parties have largely been populated by industry pros and pals inhaling as much free beer as they can reach. Not so anymore.
In honor of SPIN’s new makeover, we’re opening up the doors and letting in as many as 1,500 real fans who just want to see Santigold, Best Coast, the Big Pink, Chairlift, Big K.R.I.T., and a half dozen others for free on Friday, March 16. There are five different ways to score passes — all you need to do is read carefully and, yes, sorry, follow some simple-ish directions. Power to the people!

Fill out the RSVP form to join our mailing list and become eligible to pick up a wristband that will grant you admittance to Stubb’s before 2:00 p.m. on the day of the show. The RSVP list is limited to 2,000 names, further instructions and wristband pickup details will be sent via e-mail.
2. Follow and RT @SPINsxsw
Keep an eye on our @SPINsxsw Twitter feed, where we’ll be giving away five pairs a tickets a day for the next 10 days, and RT when we say so.
3. Make friends with our friends
Another 70 passes will be made available to partners and friends of SPIN. Keep a close eye on @SPINsxsw for those details. Our clever pals @StumbleUpon are going the extra mile, hosting a city-wide scavenger hunt including party passes, so follow them for clues.
4. Get with the bands
All 11 of the artists performing at the show will have a pair of passes to give away via the fan network of their choosing. Most likely Twitter, though, so follow all of them on Twitter.
5. Subscribe!
