Every episode of Showtime’s new series The Affair will begin with some Fiona Apple, the network announced. The minute-long opening sequence is scored by “Container,” a previously unreleased song that Apple contributed to the series.

“Fiona Apple has been my favorite songwriter since I was 16,” the show’s creator, Sarah Treem, explained in a statement. “I am honored and humbled that she has chosen to lend her talent to our opening title sequence. If our show can approach one tenth of the depth and complexity of her song, I’ll be very happy.”

Apple’s soulful musings should prove make a good fit for the drama series, which will trace the fallout of an extramarital affair between its two stars, Dominic West and Ruth Wilson. The series premieres October 12, but you can watch the intro right now by pressing the play button above. Also of note: This won’t be the first time Apple has dabbled in the small screen this year. The singer played a German eco-terrorist named Biofrau on a French superhero show.
