It's safe to say that this year's BottleRock festival in Napa had one of the most diverse lineups of the season so far. Over the course of three days, the event hosted headliners that ranged from the Cure to LL Cool J to SPIN cover star Eric Church, all performing amidst the sunny, breezy vistas of the valley's rolling vineyards. But even with gorgeous landscapes and endless amounts of wine on hand, festivals can be daunting to the most experienced party-goer and performer. We went behind the scenes with Washington-bred DJ/drummer/singer Robert DeLong to chat about what's most vital for any traveling musician. Sunscreen and water make the list, of course. And so does a quick game of bowling.
