Nas Revisited ‘N.Y. State of Mind’ With the Roots on ‘Fallon’

After performing with the Roots at last month’s Boston Calling Festival, Nas once again joined the band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to play some classic tracks while promoting his new documentary Time is Illmatic.

The legendary Queensbridge MC sounded breezy and right at home amid the Roots crew when they played “N.Y. Stand of Mind.” Catch their live collaboration in the video above — skip to the 8:00 mark.

In other not-as-cool news, Fallon also used some air-time to play “Electronic Rap,” Vanilla Ice’s truly terrible 1991 board game. The segment got the host and Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter to rap awful lines like, “Yo! Stump / She found her rump / He lost his lump / The DJ was Grump.” Find that below.
