Fall Out Boy Get 'High' in '07

Pete Wentz reveals details on his band's new album title and first single.

Breaking news: Fall Out Boy gave something a title, and that title is less than 16 words! The band's fourth album, and first since their last year's breakthrough, From Under the Cork Tree, will be called Infinity on High, and it's on target for a Feb. 6 release date, bassist Pete Wentz revealed to MTV. But fear not, fans of verbose FOB nomenclature: The first single is called "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race," and another album track is called "I'm Like a Lawyer With the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off."

As for the sound, Wentz promised Spin last month that it wouldn't be the "interesting second record," i.e. some sort of artistic spelunking now that the band's got a few bills to rub together. "We came in with 20 songs, but we're not ready for Use Your Illusion I and II yet," he quipped. The band recently posted an album track called "Carpal Tunnel of Love" on absolutepunk.net.

Talk: Will the new album be a little more sophomore slump, or a little more comeback of the year? COMMENT
