Experience Ceremony’s Raucous Live Show in ‘World Blue’ Video

On February 4, Northern California hardcore boundary-pushers Ceremony performed at New York venue Le Poisson Rouge alongside special guests Pissed Jeans and several other rowdy acts of Ceremony’s choosing. Zoo, the band’s fourth proper album overall and first for indie-rock mainstay Matador, doesn’t come out until March 6, but the label has already posted a video for the album’s frenetic “World Blue.” Directed by Robert Semmer (who has also helmed multiple videos for Black Lips), the clip features riotous black-and-white footage from that recent New York gig. Yes, videos that rely so much on live footage can get pretty old, but seeing the crowd go ape for this abrasive, concise, galvanizing music only raises our excitement for how people will react when the album finally arrives.
