Exclusive Podcast: Pearl Jam Celebrate ‘Ten’ Reissue

Hear the entire first episode of the band's "Ten Code" podcast series -- a week before it hits radio airwaves!

Larry Fitzmaurice // March 10, 2009

Between the wealth of unreleased material offered on the forthcoming reissue of 1991’s Ten (out March 24) and rare video footage made available to fans, Pearl Jam are clearly in the spirit of giving.

Their latest gift? A ten-part podcast, Ten Code — Pearl Jam Radio, featuring previously unreleased tracks and band interviews. The series isn’t set to premiere on radio stations until March 16 — but SPIN.com has an exclusive stream of the first episode, for your listening pleasure!

Below, hear bassist Jeff Ament discuss how a show in Switzerland laid the groundwork for the band’s breakthrough 1992 acoustic performance on MTV Unplugged. And enjoy a clip of Pearl Jam performing “Black,” taken straight from the Unplugged broadcast.
