In support of their new album Vices & Virtues, Panic! at the Disco will hit the road on tour this spring with New York indie pop outfit fun., featuring members of the Format, Anathallo, and Steel Train, on opening duties. To celebrate, the two bands teamed up for a new single, "C'mon," which SPIN is exclusively premiering before it hits iTunes on May 17.
The duet combines the orchestral drama of Panic! with the pop smarts of fun., as the bands' frontmen Brendon Urie and Nate Ruess, respectively, croon about the redeeming powers of love over piano, strings, and a big rising melody.
"With everything falling down around me / I'd like to believe in all the possibilities," sings Urie. "Don't leave me to sleep all alone / Let's stay lost on our way home," responds Ruess.
"We went into the session not really knowing much about the Panic! guys," Ruess tells SPIN. "But we came out, not only with what I think is a really good song, but with a couple of really great friends that we have a huge amount of respect and admiration for."
