Admiral Radley, a new band featuring Jason Lytle and Aaron Burtch of Grandaddy, plus Ariana Murray and Aaron Espinoza of Earlimart, will release their debut album I Heart California on July 13. But why wait: SPIN.com has an exclusive stream of its catchy yet subdued track "Ghosts of Syllables" below!

The song draws influence from both Earlimart and Grandaddy -- in fact, the band's website bio claims they initially wanted to call the new group Earlidaddy or Grandimart. It retains the pulsing rhythms of Earlimart and the catchy hooks, somber keyboard melodies, and self-deprecating lyrics of Grandaddy. "I'm out of sync, yeah you know it's true," Lytle sings over chiming guitars. "But loneliness I am nothing to."

Admiral Radley hit the road this summer, beginning on July 8 in Los Angeles. See their complete itinerary here.
