Regina Spektor will release her first concert movie, Live in London, on November 22 -- watch an exclusive clip below!

"We flew my grand piano out from New York and toured all over England -- London was the last show -- with a trailer holding this nine-foot-long grand piano," the 30-year-old Russian-born Manhattanite tells SPIN. "The piano flew over with Paul McCartney's musical equipment. I was picturing all his gear rubbing up against my piano. Sometimes when I'm being filmed performing my brain just freezes up. But that thought helped a lot [while I played]."

Live in London was recorded at the 5,000-capacity Hammersmith Apollo Theatre, and features 23 song from Spektor's catalogue, plus three previously unreleased tracks. Friend Adria Petty, who has helmed many of Spektor's music videos, directed the 64-minute film. "I've wanted to do [a concert movie] for a long time, but I wanted to do it right," Spektor says.

She adds that she was inspired by the behind-the-scenes feel of films like the Band's The Last Waltz and the Beatles' A Hard Day's Night and Help!. "What happens before you show up at eight o'clock, buy your beer, and stand in the corner to watch?" Spektor says. "Somebody was up at 8 A.M. balancing on trusses, hanging from the ceiling, and focusing the light in the spot where the guitarist is going to step out to solo for one minute. That stuff is interesting."

Now that her European tour is finished, Spektor is writing tunes for a new Broadway musical called Beauty, which is loosely based on the Disney classic Sleeping Beauty. "I still write my own songs in between that, but now my main job is to write all that music," she says. "I'm not writing any of the lyrics. But I've already written 22 pages of music for it."

The project is set to debut in 2012. "It's an amazing script; it's really weird. I love it. There's going to be people flying around and shit. Not like Spiderman flying, but, you know, other kinds of flying."
