The London psych-pop band Yeti injected a healthy dose of Americana into the Vegas nightlife at the Energie/Spin event.

England’s psych-pop outfit, Yeti, got “Down and Dirty” at Beauty Bar in Las Vegas last night. Fronted by ex-Libertines bassist John Hassall, the band performed a full set of psychedelic-tinged tunes to a packed courtyard behind the bar at Spin’s “Down and Dirty” event, co-sponsored by Energie clothing company and Newcastle Brown Ale. Fashionistas, in town for the MAGIC 2006 Apparel & Fashion Show, twirled like sexy dervishes to the ’60s-infuenced sound of jangly, upbeat anthems like “Merry-Go-Round” and “Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder.” And when the band members pulled off four-part harmonies, the highly-stylized hair on the back of partygoers’ necks stood straight up.
