  • Ja Rule has been sentenced to two years in jail after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The 35-year-old rapper was arrested in New York in 2007 after police found a semi-automatic weapon in his car. Ja Rule’s lawyer says he will likely serve a maximum of 20 months with good behavior and the rapper is still expected to release his new album, Pain Is Love 2, this summer. [The Guardian]
