Watch Ellie Goulding’s Psychotropic ‘Goodness Gracious’ Video

ellie goulding, goodness gracious, video, halcyon days

Way back in August, Ellie Goulding dropped “Goodness Gracious,” a tropical-flavored highlight from Halcyon Days, the hefty reissue of her sophomore album, 2012’s Halcyon. Now, in the dead of winter, the song’s official music video has washed ashore. Unlike the two clips for tender ballad “How Long Will I Love You” (the first being a tie-in for a movie soundtrack, the second a shameless advertisement for a smartphone), the “Goodness Gracious” visual suits the track it’s serving.

Directed by Kinga Burza, the video delivers a rush of color in neon-lit dance parties, sparklers, and ultra-vivid sunsets. It’s as if Goulding downed some psychotropic Starbursts with a bunch of friends and filmed the whole weekend. Bask in the warm climate above.
