Sin City is getting its second Electric Daisy Carnival. The giant electronic music festival will return to Las Vegas in 2012, event organizers Insomniac Productions have announced. The dance party is set for June 8-10 at the Motor Speedway.

EDC made its Sin City debut this past June and drew more than 230,000 attendees. In a statement, Insomniac President and CEO Pasquale Rotella says the high turnout only confirmed that they’d found “a perfect home” for the largest event of its kind in North America. Last year’s bill ranged from superstar DJs Tiësto and David Guetta to cult-adored mixmasters Bassnectar and 12th Planet.

Though Insomniac lined up five EDCs this year in various cities, the Vegas festival was its flagship event. Starting in 1997 and ending with 2010’s EDC Los Angeles, the annual electronic music spectacle had previously taken place in Southern California. “I don’t know what happens in L.A., but what happens here stays here,” former Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman told SPIN recently, in our report on the rave industry’s struggles with local authorities.

Tickets for next year’s EDC in Las Vegas will go on sale on November 1 at noon PST. Prices start at $215 for three-day general admission tickets and $500 for three-day VIP tickets. Insomniac says a limited number of single-day tickets will go on sale at a later date. Insomniac will also sell discounted pre-sale tickets at its first Halloween festival, Escape From Wonderland, set for October 29 in San Bernadino, CA.
