Edwyn Collins Released From Hospital

Singer songwriter Edwyn Collins was released on August 13 after a six-month convalescence in a London hospital, says Playlouder.com. Collins suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on February 20. “Edwyn is doing really well,” said Collins’ wife, Grace, in a statement on her husband’s website. “He is advancing in all areas. He took his first steps in recent times.” Grace also stressed that listening to music has helped Edwyn recuperate. Collins has been in the music biz for over 20 years, first as part of the cult favorite Orange Juice and more recently as a solo act. His biggest hit was 1994’s “Girl Like You,” which was featured in the soundtrack to the movie Empire Records.
