Electric Daisy Casting Attractive Real-Life Ravers for Festival Movie

Electric Daisy Carnival 2013 Movie Documentary Apply Application Las Vegas

Do you want to share your experience under the electric sky? That’s not a joke. Those are actual words found on the site for Electric Daisy Carnival 2013, the movie. Insomniac productions are plotting a documentary for this year’s Las Vegas EDM blowout, set to run June 21 through 23 with performances by Major Lazer, Avicii, Tiësto, Calvin Harris, Baauer, and Dog Blood (Skrillex and Boys Noize), among others. And what’s more, that documentary could be about you.

The folks behind EDC are looking to cast a fan (or fans) in “a major role” for the film. But first they need to make sure you’re interesting and not an uggo, okay? The application process requires 10 to 15 photos, answers to a handful of personal questions (one would have you “describe your life … romantically”), and a five to 10-minute homemade video in which you’re to introduce anyone that’ll be attending the fest with you. Also: “Be sure your face is very well lit.”

The questionnaire is available on the movie’s main page and tempting though it might be, we’d advise against entering “TRIP BALLS” for most of the queries. (For instance: “Break down your typical day from the moment you wake up till you call it a night,” or “Explain your plans for EDC this year.”) Only ticket-holders may apply, as the winner(s) will be followed around with cameras for the entire weekend. Which sounds like a terrible thing to endure while getting one’s PLUR on.

A final tip for the introduction video: “One of the most important things you can do is keep your energy level up!” Preaching to the choir on that one, Insomniac.
