Dum Dum Girls Flash Striking ‘Rimbaud Eyes’ on ‘Letterman’

dum dum girls, late show with david letterman, rimbaud eyes, too true

Dum Dum Girls touched down in New York City on January 30 to play Mercury Lounge and appear on the Late Show with David Letterman, two engagements that come in support of the nu-New Wavers’ latest album, the just-released Too True. Above, enjoy video footage from the Letterman performance. The Los Angeles unit blazed through recent single “Rimbaud Eyes” and adhered to their gloom-and-glamour aesthetic: Frontwoman Dee Dee Penny wore what looked to be the exact same outfit she dons on the Too True cover (down to the lipstick), and glared at the camera as crisp post-punk guitar lines cascaded behind her voice. Watch the clip through the end to catch Dee Dee actually crack a smile when Letterman shakes her hand.
