First Axl Rose has trouble with Chinese Democracy, the infamous, yet-to-be-released Guns n' Roses album nearly a decade in the making. Now Axl is having trouble with American democracy: Former G n' R members Slash (nee Saul Hudson) and Duff (nee Michael) McKagan have filed suit against Axl in federal court for allegedly profiting from their royalties. According to the AP, the suit accuses Axl of telling the American Society of Authors and Publishers to send all G n' R royalties to his personal publishing company, leaving out Slash, Duff, and the rest of the Roses crew. According to the suit, Axl is "Suffering an apparent attack of arrogance and ego. He is no longer willing to acknowledge the contributions of his former partners and bandmates in having created some of rock's greatest hits." This is the second suit filed by Duff and Slash against Axl. Last year the pair accused Rose of hoarding ownership of all the group's assets.
