DOWNLOAD: Liam Gallagher’s First Post-Oasis Song!

William Goodman // November 11, 2010

If success is the sweetest revenge, well, then Liam Gallagher’s I-fookin’-told-you-so grin must stretch from ear to ear.

On Wednesday, more than 14 months after a backstage brawl between Oasis’ Britpop blokes the Gallagher Bros. broke up the band, Liam finally unveiled the first song from his post-Oasis band Beady Eye. Guess what? It’s good. Liam, 1; Noel, 0. Download the track from the widget below.

“Bring the Light” is a straight ahead rocker deeply indebted to Gallagher’s ’70s rock influences. It’s part John Lennon, part Elton John, part T.Rex with a whole lot of good-times boogie-woogie piano and a blazing guitar solo.
