Download Final ‘O.C.’ Song

When The O.C. weeps its final indie-rock note — sometime after Phantom Planet declares yet again they’re coming to California and Seth Cohen discusses the merits of Death Cab for Cutie — the soundtrack will be Patrick Park’s “Life Is a Song.” On the softly-strummed send-off, the L.A.-based folkie meditates on his uncertain future, resigning with “time to let go of everything we used to know.” It’s a remarkably fitting farewell to a show that made idols out of indies and high school way too intense. It’ll be the last song played on The O.C., and you can only download it here.
