DJ Clue to Drop ‘Professional’

It’s going to be a busy holiday season over at Def Jam. While Dec. 12 sees album releases from Young Jeezy and Ghostface Killah, just a week later, on Dec. 19, Nas’ new album drops alongside the latest effort from New York mixtape and radio legend (and one-time MTV VJ) DJ Clue. Clue’s first non-mixtape release since 2001, The Professional, Part 3, features an all-star lineup including Snoop Dogg, Young Jeezy, Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, Mike Jones, Fat Joe, and more.

Kanye West and Fabolous (who recently signed to Clue’s Desert Storm imprint under Def Jam), both appear on the debut single “Like This,” already receiving radio and club play. The track utilizes a jazzy piano sample and a singsong chorus courtesy of Fab. Clue’s got plenty to live up to; his first installment of The Professional went platinum while the second sold over 880,000 copies.
