Divine Fits premiered a new song last night during the gig headlining the JanSport Bonfire Session @ Viceland with Japandroids and Wavves (via You Ain't No Picasso). The band behind last year's A Thing Called Divine Fits, last spotted covering Bruce Springsteen, didn't specify the name of the previously unreleased tune. But as an uptempo song with bristling guitar and a pounding rhythm section, it plays like an extension of their debut. Dan Boeckner, who splits vocal duties in the group with Britt Daniel, sings lead here. "I was dreaming of color," he seems to intone at one point, though the live fan footage requires some puzzling out of the lyrics. Austin, as the band noted at the end of the song, is also where Divine Fits played their first show together last year.
