A Divine ‘Feast’ with the Sharp Things

In today’s electronic renaissance, music lovers are slowly mourning the death of an art: the classic long-player album. However, hope is on the horizon thanks to pop visionaries the Sharp Things. On a mission to create “the last album ever,” they deliver A Moveable Feast, a cohesive creation with appeal across generations and genres (out this week via Bar/None). Also on a mission to restore honor to the album, tracks are inspired by everyone from author Nick Hornby to David Bowie, and a handful of unlikely musical cameos vibrantly bring the to LP to life. The lush arrangements of “Through with Love” features orchestrations from the 40-piece New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble — the horn and string-laden single is Broadway meets Brooklyn with a musical narrative fit for the stage or silver screen. Careful, or you may just break out into song and dance yourself.
