Brooklyn's Desert Stars conjure the sort of dreamy haze and windswept romanticism that's been mastered by Mazzy Star and Beach House, which is to say newly revealed track "Off the Cliff" is damned pretty. Soaked in reverb and jingling with sleigh bells, the atmospheric swooner feels weightless despite its steady drum beat. Janelle Best, lead singer and classically trained violinist, colors the feverish tune with her warm voice. Take the plunge below.
