The Dead Bodies Don't Feel Like 'Dancing'

SPIN Staff

If you hear people say "The Dead Bodies are taking over Detroit," there's no need to barricade yourself in a shopping mall, Romero-style: they're probably just talking about the trippy pop rock band that has become a local favorite. From their forthcoming second album (Mr. Spookhouse's Pink House), the offbeat but catchy "Dancing Has No Class" meanders on an eerie melody that's equal parts David Lynch and the Shins. The Dead Bodies' Mr. Spookhouse's Pink House haunts the Quite Scientific imprint on April 17.
