Let's make some good come out of something bad. Scott Ford, bassist for the Greg Dulli-led Twilight Singers, was recently compelled to have surgery for a life-threatening periodontal condition. The procedure cost Ford, who also hosts a popular online radio show on his website fordradio.blogspot.com, $50,000. Like many musicians who cannot afford adequate health care coverage, this unforeseen medical disaster has put Ford deep in the hole.

To help their friend, some of Scott's famous buddies will be playing at a benefit show Saturday, September 26, at the Roxy in Los Angeles. Scheduled performers include Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro, Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan, Scott Shriner from Weezer, Steve-O, and others.

If you're in L.A., buy a ticket. If you're not, check out this site for more info on how you can help.
