The Dave Matthews Band will perform this Sunday at the Grammy Awards ceremony, where they’re nominated for “Album of the Year” and “Best Rock Album” for 2009’s Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.

But the performance will be just a warm-up: the South Africa-born singer/songwriter and Co. have announced a massive summer tour of North America, kicking off May 28 in Hartford, CT.

For the 49-date trek, Matthews handpicked a top-notch crew of opening acts, including Ben Harper and Relentless7, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, the Felice Brothers, Zac Brown Band, Gov’t Mule, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, Brett Dennen, and Raphael Saadiq.

The trek will be the band’s second behind Big Whiskey, which contains the last recorded material from saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who died in August of 2008.

Still not enough Dave for ya? Well, the band recently dropped a box set entitled Europe 2009, including Dave Matthews Band: Live from Lucca, a three CD set from their July 5, 2009 show in Lucca, Italy, plus Across the Pond, which chronicles their 2009 show at O2 Academy in London, England

But there’s more! On Feb. 9, Matthews and his sometime collaborator Tim Reynolds will release Live In Las Vegas, a new album featuring acoustic versions of tracks from Big Whiskey and previous DMB albums. The set was recorded in December 2009.
