Daughn Gibson fittingly chose to film the official video for his gutter blues track “Kissin on the Blacktop” in the type of bar where you can get a shot of whiskey just as easily as getting a pool cue broken over your head. The former trucker from Pennsylvania menacingly mugs at the camera, surrounded by a rough-looking cast of the dive’s regulars as he sings about a booze-fueled romance.
The song comes from Gibson’s pretty solid second album and Sub Pop debut, Me Moan, out now.
