Daryl Hall: Live from SPIN & MySpace's San Jacinto Saloon

Watch the father of blue-eyed soul play his 1986 solo hit "Foolish Pride."

Each year, SXSW always helps a handful legacy artists connect with a new, younger fanbase, and at SXSW '08, '80s soul crooner Daryl Hall turned out to be one of those performers. Riding on the heels of his recently launched webisode series, Live from Daryl's House, which chronicles in-studio collaborations between Hall and present-day stars like Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes and KT Tunstall. We were glad to invite Daryl to stop by and perform "Foolish Pride" in the SPIN/MySpace San Jacinto Saloon.

Will you be the first to junk this derogatory "blue-eyed soul" nonsense? No type of music is owned by any certain type of people. Does Lionel Richie sing "brown-eyed rock"?
