Darkness Plot New LP, The Horrors Return + More

  • After announcing their reunion in March, The Darkness are set to record a new album for 2012 and embark on a world tour. "There will probably be a Darkness album, but somehow we'll get new music out before then," frontman Justin Hawkins told Q Magazine (via NME). Hawkins didn't announce specific details of their tour, only that it will happen this year; the group is confirmed for a string of European festival dates next month.

  • British goth-rockers the Horrors will release a new album, titled Skying on July 26. The group has already put out the lead single, the gorgeous synthed-out ballad "Still Life," which you can hear below.

  • Did you know that '90s grunge rockers Silverchair were still around? Well, no longer. They announced that they are going into "indefinite hibernation" after more than 20 years together. The group - who broke through with the 1995 smash "Tomorrow" - decided to call it quits after work on a studio album broke down. "As a result, we've decided to do other things that we find more inspiring right now," they wrote in a post on their site.

  • British neo-soul singer James Blake will return to the States this fall with a 13-date fall tour. After performing at Austin City Limits in Austin, TX, on September 18, Blake will kick-off the trek in San Francisco, CA, on September 21; the tour wraps up on October 9 in Washington, D.C.   • Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars is set to marry longtime girlfriend Sofia Coppola this August. The couple will tie the knot in Bernalda, Italy on the estate of Coppola's father, director Francis Ford. Mars and Coppola have two children together. [People]

  • Drake has tapped Rick Ross and mysterious R&B act The Weeknd to perform at his second annual OVO Festival, which is returning to Toronto's Molson Canadian Ampitheatre on July 31. In related news, the blog Pigeons and Planes has uncovered old demos of the Weeknd from before leader Abel Tesfaye (as his name is reported to be) became a hotly-tipped act.
