Dandy Warhols Open the Odditorium

The Dandy Warhols, recent stars of the indie documentary Dig, will release a new album, Odditorium or Warlords of Mars, on September 13. The album is named for the Dandy Warhols’ infamous Portland, Oregon performance space called — what else — the Odditorium. Co-produced by lead singer Courtney Taylor, Odditorium will be the Dandy Warhols’ fifth full-length of psychedelic, Lou Reed-inspired rock, and their first since 2003’s Welcome to the Monkey House. If you want to see the Dandys live in the very near future, you’ll have to haul ass to Chicago’s Lollapalooza during the weekend of July 23; a full-length tour will be announced shortly.
