Cut Copy and Tame Impala Dust Off Debuts for Record Store Day Reissues

Keep saving those pennies for Record Store Day; the list of releases only grows longer. We’d just received word of MGMT‘s limited edition “Alien Days” cassette single and Nicolas Jaar’s 12-inch remixes of Brian Eno and Grizzly Bear when news trickled in of RSD exclusives from Cut Copy and Tame Impala.

On April 20, Modular Recordings will issue Cut Copy’s 2004 debut album, Bright Like Neon Love, on vinyl for the very first time. The pressing will feature new artwork designed by frontman Dan Whitford and will only be available at participating record shops.

Also coming next month is the Tame Impala 12-inch EP, an expanded edition of the Lonerism rockers’ 2008 debut 10-inch disc. Printed on red vinyl, this re-release comes with download codes and two songs — “Forty One Mosquitoes Flying in Formation” and “Wander” — not previously available on vinyl.

Both of these exclusives are “extremely limited,” according to a press release. Make both Jack White and Shirley Manson proud by supporting your local vinyl outlet.
