Cults recently spent a good deal of quality time with SPIN at New Orleans' Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2013. Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion not only dropped by our portrait studio, presented by Toyota Soundwave — the New York not-quite-indie-pop duo also performed for SPIN's Soundwave Tent and took us out exploring the Big Easy. Watch the video below to see Cults play "Were Before," a highlight from this year's Static LP, and see the pair discuss their past experiences in New Orleans and attend a performance by the Preservation Jazz Hall Band up above.

And be sure to check out the 15 Best Things We Saw at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2013, listen to SPIN's "Hi, We're in New Orleans" podcast, and read our in-depth interview with Cults, Payola Blues. For more coverage on this year's top festivals, visit ToyotaSoundwave.com.
