Cribs, Nine Black Alps Announce Tour News

Already pitted against each other for Band of the Year on SPIN.com, The Cribs and Nine Black Alps will duke it out for two months in a cross-country battle for concert attendance.

After finishing up their own tour of Europe, the U.S., Japan and Australia in support of their sophomore album, The New Fellas, the British trio of brothers, The Cribs, will take their exuberant pop sounds for a March and April jaunt, opening for Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie (click here for dates). Having already bested Hard-Fi and The Go! Team in the Band of the Year battle, how will the boys deal with acting as tour support for two months?

Meanwhile, Nine Black Alps, who upset Bloc Party and The Magic Numbers for their final-four status, will also be touring the country during March and April. The quartet will kick off their tour on March 9 in Seattle and finish up on April 29 in Indio, California at Coachella. They will be joined by Amusement Parks on Fire, Silversun Pickup and Giant Drag on select dates.
