Coxon, Blur Work on Dueling Projects

Since being unceremoniously sacked from Blur in 2002, Graham Coxon has already released one well regarded album (2004’s Happiness in Magazines) and is ready to release his second, Love Travels at Illegal Speeds on March 13 in the UK. The US release of Love will also be this spring though the specific date has yet to be determined. Damon Albarn and the rest of Blur, sans Coxon, are set to begin working on a new album after the holiday season, NME.com reports.

The first single off Love Travels, “Standing On My Own Again,” drops on February 27 in England. Though there were rumblings earlier this year that Coxon might rejoin Blur for their forthcoming album, it seems that Coxon is doing just fine “standing on his own.”
