Coldplay Plot Six Small Shows Around ‘Ghost Stories’ Release

The two U.S. dates are next month in Los Angeles and New York

John Surico // April 17, 2014

On May 19, Coldplay will release Ghost Stories, their first album since 2011’s Mylo Xyloto. And we’ve already heard a few tracks off it, including the woodsy “Midnight” and the soft-spoken “Magic.” So, in preparation for the big day, the band is going on tour (sort of), with six smaller shows across the world. The album’s release date will find Coldplay in Los Angeles, and the only other U.S. tour date will be in New York on May 5.

Until then, catch Chris Martin below as a Jekyll-and-Hyde magician in the “Magic” video, featuring Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’s Ziyi Zhang. Scroll down for the six show dates.

Coldplay tour dates:

April 25 – Cologne, Germany @ E-Werk
May 5 – New York, NY @ Beacon Theatre
May 19 – Los Angeles, CA @ Royce Hall
May 28 – Paris, France @ Casino de Paris
May 12 – Tokyo, Japan @ Dome City Hall
July 1 – London, England @ Royal Albert Hall
