Cold Cave’s ‘God Made the World’ Precedes World Tour, Dual 7-Inch Releases

cold cave, god made the world

Cold Cave main man Wes Eisold has been releasing a steady stream of new material over the last few months. Last September brought us the marching “A Little Death to Laugh” (which just received a creepy video companion), February welcomed the anthemic “Oceans With No End,” and now the darkwaver has debuted another New Order-indebted single, “God Made the World.”

On March 25, Eisold revealed on Tumblr that Heartworm Press will be dropping two more Cold Cave singles in the coming weeks: a 7-inch titled “Black Boots” b/w “Meaningful Life” and a 7-inch picture disc featuring “God Made the World.” A digital version of “God Made the World” will come paired with an instrumental called “Dandelion.” Pre-orders for the picture disc release are currently available here.

Eisold also confirmed that his project’s upcoming world tour kicks off on April 23 in Tokyo, and will include stops in South Korea, China, Nepal, India, the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

I have noticed and overheard some confusion as to what the status and future plans are for my music from people other than me. I am not under contract with a record label now. I’m happy with my new music that I’m making alone now. I am happy to have the opportunity to continue releasing songs and singles to you as I choose without being concerned with conventions for now. I am working on an album but I am always working on an album and have yet to decide when and who will release it.

There’s more to share soon. Dates, releases, etc. For now, know my heart is extended to you for whom I do this for.

– W.E.
