Cloud Nothings have shared a short video teasing their next album. The black-and-white clip offers a 42-second glimpse at what the band has been up to in the studio as of late. "Proof that we haven't just been sitting at home the last few months," reads the Facebook post promoting the short. It's a fitting caption because that's about all the video confirms. Specifics — such as a track list, record title, and final release date — remain unclear. All we know for sure right now is that there's a new Cloud Nothings full-length due sometime in 2014.
Back in August, frontman Dylan Baldi shared footage of him performing a new song, tentatively titled "Psychic Trauma," with an acoustic guitar in Vienna (video of a full-band version turned up around South By Southwest 2013). In a 2012 interview, Baldi described Cloud Nothings' upcoming fourth LP as "a little less melodic" than last year's outstanding Attack on Memory, saying, "It's noisier and less straightforward. I think people will be able to handle it."
