Before CHVRCHES were recognized as one of 5 Best New Artists, singer Lauren Mayberry was a member of Scottish outfit Blue Sky Archives. And before CHVRCHES gave the Game of Thrones theme song an electro-pop reworking, Blue Sky Archives drastically reimagined another blood-soaked epic: Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name." The Glaswegian dreamers defanged the RATM classic, replacing Tom Morello's fiery fretwork with a folksy jangle and turning "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me" into a protest more personal than political.
