Christian Group Scolds 50 Cent

As anyone dwelling across the “In da Club” saturated nation in 2003 would know, Queens-born G-Unit rapper 50 Cent, a.k.a. Curtis Jackson, has been shot at, well, at least as many times as he has been wounded — nine. But now, Jackson is under fire from an unlikely group of prosecutors, the Resistance. As a nationwide Christian organization focused on preserving Christian values in the media, the Resistance has taken aim at Jackson for sporting a cross, the symbol of the Christian faith, while rhyming about violence, sex, and drugs, AllHipHop.com reports.

“50 Cent is no Christian, and if you listen to his lyrics it becomes clear that he is more of a Satanist than anything,” said Resistance founder Mark Dice. “He is defaming the cross and committing blasphemy by wearing it while he raps about killing people for no reason because he’s a big bad ‘gangster.’ I think a large diamond studded platinum satanic pentagram would be a little more fitting for him.” While no one expects Fiddy to come out sporting a diamond-encrusted pentagram, spitting rhymes about Satan, 50 Cent’s manager told AllHipHop.com that he would hope all of Jackson’s decent actions wouldn’t go unobserved. “They should look up our charitable deeds before casting a stone,” and added, “This is entertainment and no one is forcing them to listen to the music or watch any of the videos. It’s an individual choice.”
