Record Store Day 2013 (April 20) keeps getting closer, and more and more exclusives keep hitting the web. Yesterday brought the Black Lips’ faithful cover of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings’ “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys,” and today brings a melancholy, piano-led instrumental from Death Cab for Cutie guitarist/producer Chris Walla.
“Never Give Up” (probably not a jab at Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard’s newly resumed Postal Service gig, right?) will be packaged as a 7-inch vinyl and released via Walla’s very own Trans Records label.
