Pub-goers in London were gifted with a cool surprise Wednesday night: Coldplay frontman Chris Martin dropped by to perform a stripped-back acoustic set, which included a cover of Oasis' smash "Wonderwall." Shaky fan footage has hit the web, and you can watch it here (via Some Kind of Awesome).

Martin popped into a bar in the Highgate section of London as part of a benefit organized by English actor Simon Pegg. According to Some Kind of Awesome, Martin played the Oasis tune after a fan shouted out the request. "OK, I'll do it if you help me," he said. Martin also reportedly debuted a new song from Coldplay's forthcoming album and was also joined by Pegg for a duet of the band's song "Green Eyes," although that footage has yet to be posted online.
