Child of Lov, Dutch R&B Artist, Dead at 26

Child of Lov RIP Dead 26

Dutch outré-R&B riser the Child of Lov has died at the age of 26. His manager Trey Reames confirmed the tragic news to NME. Regarding the cause of death, he said only that the man born Martijn William Zimri Teerlinck — in Lendelede, Belgium on March 31, 1987 — passed following complications from a surgery. Teerlinck’s debut album, The Child of Lov, came out on Domino’s Double Six imprint last May and featured Damon Albarn, DOOM, and Thundercat.

Reames released the following statement:

On behalf of the family and as his manager I must announce that Martijn Teerlinck, aka Cole Williams, aka The Child of Lov, aka Sun Patzer, is no longer with us. He lived a life of struggle and can now rest peacefully. In his own words: “When I was younger, I had a tough time physically. I have seen too many hospital beds. It made me stronger. Makes you realize death is always near, for anyone. And what a wonderful thing life is and how grateful we should be.”
