Charli XCX celebrated the bubblegum brilliance of her new "SuperLove" single by mingling with dancing robots and posing with motorcycle gangs in the song's vivid music video. But the True Romance siren ditches the supporting cast and tones down the neon color palette in her latest visual, an official clip promoting Yeasayer's twitchy, whirring remix of "SuperLove."
Directed by filmmaker and regular Charli collaborator Ryan Andrews (who also helmed the original tune's video), the new piece focuses solely on Charli dancing in the middle of what looks to be a photo shoot. Yeasayer don't even make a cameo — maybe they're still too busy saving the planet from a deadly epidemic, a la their "Glass of the Microscope" video.
Speaking to V Magazine, Charli said, "[Ryan Andrews] and I shoot everything I do together and this was just me dressing up and dancing around in my own world... This remix makes me feel free, like I'm floating in a dream." Watch the new video above, then revisit Charli's joyous first cut.
