Chance the Rapper Declares ‘I Am Very Very Lonely’ on New Song

Chance the Rapper 'I Am Very Lonely' Stream Social Experiment

After a stunner of a Coachella performance that involved a surprise Justin Beiber cameo, Chicago star Chance the Rapper fell ill and was forced to cancel a series of shows. Now it seems life off of the road has got him down. The Acid Rap MC shared a new song today dubbed “I Am Very Very Lonely,” and it’s the sort of ennui-stricken fare that Frank Ocean played with on “Super Rich Kids,” though without the class element or sarcasm.

“I guess I’ll file the cabinets, fix the dishwasher tonight / Feed the fishes, twist a Swisher while I mix the pasta tonight,” the Rapper sings, while his Social Experiment band plays a minimal groove behind him. The pretty vocals and slow-rolling soul are a comforting combo, and reason enough to take Chance’s advice to hit his line if you’re passing through the neighborhood and roommate James Blake’s out on business.
