Rap legend and pop pioneer Heavy D died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis, TMZ reports. As SPIN reported, the golden-era icon passed on November 8. Officials from the L.A. County Coroner's Office have classified the death as "natural," citing blockage from a blood clot formed in his legs, a condition which may have been aggravated by a long flight back to America after attending a Michael Jackson memorial concert in Wales.
